We would like to offer your business the opportunity to reach our audience through our new business sponsorship program. Since opening the D&H Canal Museum and Mid-Hudson Visitor Center in the historic 1797 DePuy Tavern, we have had over 8,000 visitors. The Canal Society’s Facebook page currently has 2,916 followers, our Instagram has 1,084 followers and D&H TV (YouTube Channel) has over 12,000 views annually of the more than 100 free D&H related videos.

Mule Driver—$100 sponsorship includes having your business listed on our events monitor in the Mid-Hudson Visitor Center, listed on our website (with a link to your website) and in The Canalwer newsletter, which is published three times a year and currently has 700 subscribers. 

Canawler­—$250 sponsorship includes all of the above, plus special thanks on our Instagram & Facebook sites and inclusion of your logo on our website and Visitor Center monitor.

Lock Tender—$500 sponsorship includes all of the above, plus a half-screen ad for your business on the Visitor Center monitor and 2 tickets for our Annual Sponsors Mixer.

Boat Captain—$1,000 sponsorship includes all of the above, plus a full-screen ad for your business on the Visitor Center monitor, a half-price rate for one on-site rental, one email exclusively promoting your business to be sent to our 750 person mailing list, and 4 tickets to our Annual Sponsors Mixer.

Hudson Valley Hero—$2,500 sponsorship includes all of the above, plus one free business event on-site annually (limited to 45 people), 4 tickets for our Annual Sponsor’s Mixer, and a ¼-page ad in one issue of The Canawler.

Sponsor a Lecture—The D&H Canal Historical Society has hosted well-received history lectures for over a decade. Our DePuy Lecture Series features noted local historians and films with history related topics. Our new Makers of History Lecture Series features people working and living in our area whose work is of national and even international importance. For your $500 sponsorship donation, the 72” main screen will feature your full-screen ad before and after the lecture that your business sponsors. In addition, your business name and logo will be on all of that event’s promotions (email, social media posts, the website listing, and in the newsletter.) Most of the lectures are video recorded and put on D&H TV, our YouTube channel, so your sponsorship will be featured in that lecture’s video as well. You can also talk to us about sponsoring a full series of either or both lectures. 

Sponsor a Lock—For an annual fee of $5,000 your business can sponsor one of the six D&H Canal Locks that are part of our campus in High Falls. Our Five Locks Walk (soon to be converted to a Six Locks Walk) has over 7,500 visitors annually who enjoy the walk, 7 days a week, dawn to dusk year-round. We will install a sign at the lock, promoting your business for 12 months.
